Featuring the new “Merian” print based on antique hand painted botanic illustrations by Maria Sibylla Merian (1647-1717) of birds and flowers from on a deep charcoal background. Maria was one of the earliest European naturalists to depict the life cycles of insects & their food plants as well as to focus on the interactions between the species that she studied.
